About Me
Guten Tag! My name is Cindy Parsons and I am a native of Colorado! I grew up in Lakewood. I attended Catholic schools through 8th grade and graduated from Wheat Ridge High School. I attended the University of Northern Colorado and obtained a degree in Elementary Education/Early Childhood and a second degree in German. I completed my Masters in Germanic Languages and Literature at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
I live in Castle Rock. I taught 22 years in Elizabeth in both the Middle School and the High School. I am entering my 6th year at Ponderosa and my 3rd year at Sagewood Middle School. In my spare time, I enjoy golfing, traveling, spending time with friends and family and surfing the internet.
I LOVE teaching German. I get to teach about the language, culture, history, etc. I also love traveling to the German speaking countries and have traveled to Germany about 28 times. I spent the 1986/1987 school year being a teaching assistant at the Eleonorenschule in Darmstadt, Germany through the Fulbright Program.
I hope to convey my love of the German language and my passion for the culture to my students.
Due to my travels during the day, please contact me via email at
